Meet Lara! Lara saw Regan’s beautiful photos from the 40 over 40 campaign and decided that she absolutely needed this for herself. Lara mostly needed new photos for work, but (as usual) we figured, if we are getting her hair and make up done and having this awesome day, why not go all out and do all the dream photos while we are at it!

What drew you to this 40 over 40 campaign?

A friend of mine has recently participated in the 40 over 40 campaign and I absolutely loved her photo’s! The fact that the package includes having your hair and make-up done won me over instantly!

If you could go back and tell your 20 year old self something that you think would change your life, what would it be?

Stop worrying!!! You’re going to be ok! I used to have a huge amount of anxiety about what the future would hold. In all of my catastrophizing, I never could have imagined how many obstacles, challenges and traumatic experiences I would face. However, I have managed to get back up from each one of them, stronger every time, and everything has turned out just fine.

What are you post proud of yourself for?

My ability to “roll with the punches” and never give up.

What are some goals or things you still want to do?

I would like to do more humanitarian work involving crisis relief or something along those lines in the future, once my children are older. I love travelling and look forward to many more adventures , local and overseas, with people I love.

Thoughts on aging?

Bring it on! There is a huge amount of freedom in getting older. You tend to care a lot less about other people’s opinions of you and I find that very liberating!

What is your favourite quote?
