Every corporate branding project begins with a consultation. The consultation is a planning session where we look at the business as a whole and the people within it.

I’m Tamryn, an international award-winning portrait photographer with a special love and focus on photographing people who hate being in front of the camera.
Over the years, working with individuals, professionals, and teams, I’ve seen how much of a difference a slower more intentional approach makes. I find that when people feel like they are part of a sausage machine and are rushed, while being photographed in front of their colleagues who can make them feel judged, or they are unsure of what’s expected of them, it shows in the final image. However, on the flip side, when they feel like they are in a safe space, they are guided, understood, and respected, it becomes a whole different experience, and then you see that in the photos.
My work in the corporate and personal branding space is built around this exact understanding. I like to take the time to learn about the business as well as the role each person plays, and how they want to be perceived (authentically!) so that I can photograph them in a way that reflects their true character, is aligned with the overall brand and that is intentional.
I very firmly believe that strong corporate portraits don’t come from forcing or faking confidence. And they definitely don’t come from a collection of photos that all look identical. Instead, they come from creating an environment where people feel safe and seen. An environment where they can relax, trust the process, and show up as their true selves, while still showing up professionally, credibly, and comfortably.
