I wish there was more representation of women 40+ in the media. And I’m on a mission to start filling the media feeds of those who follow my work with more of exactly that – women over 40.

Let me help you figure out how you want to be photographed. We will plan and decide who you want to be photographed with and customise your photo session specifically to you. During this consultation I will also help you pick out and decide exactly what to wear for your session and while you decide how professional, casual, glam or sexy you want your session to be.
And this is where I help you transform your fears around being photographed into excitement to be photographed 😀
One of my lovely professional hair stylists and make up artists will join us on the day of your session to help you have the style of camera-ready, custom make-up you want. You get to choose how much or how little make up you have on and how glam or natural you want your make up and hair to be.
MUST DO: Plan a fun evening out – because not only are you going to look stunning, but you are going to feel it too! Grab your girlfriends or your partner, and go paint the town red!
This is where I guide you every step of the way on how to stand, where to look, what to do with your arms, how to rest your hands and right down to how to position your fingertips!
You have absolutely nothing to worry about – I have heard every objection, and I can assure you I have got you covered!
You not photogenic? That’s my job to make you photogenic. You need to lose weight? Between posing, lighting and shooting angles, my camera and I can do better than 95% of the diets out there 😉
About a week after your photo session you will be invited back to my studio where you will have the opportunity to see a printed selection of the portraits from your session – printed and matted portraits, of you! Beautiful you!
This is when you get to choose your complimentary image and decide if you would like to purchase more and have folio boxes, albums and/or framed prints made.
This will be a magazine showcasing you and the 39 other women who participated in this campaign. Your photo, along with your story will be published at available for you to collect at the end of the 40 OVER 40 campaign.

Who can participate?
Any woman aged 40 and over is welcome! This campaign celebrates women in every season of life, your background, shape, age, or story doesn’t need to look a certain way. If you’re 40+, you belong here.
Where do the portrait sessions take place?
Most sessions take place in my Johannesburg studio, but you are welcome to choose a different location. This could be an outdoor space, your home, or even something completely unexpected. Rented spaces are for your account and if the session is outside Johannesburg, travel fees apply.
Can I purchase more portraits?
Absolutely. Your sitting fee includes the full experience; your consultation, professional hair and makeup, your portrait session, your reveal, one portrait, and your feature in the 40 Over 40 magazine. Many clients choose to purchase the 40-image collection, and I also offer 20-image and 10-image collections. You only purchase the portraits you love at your reveal.
I don’t usually wear make up.
The goal is to enhance your natural beauty, we are not going to change or transform you. My makeup artist keeps everything soft, natural, and true to you. But, you choose exactly how much or how little makeup you feel comfortable with.
I don’t have anything to wear.
You don’t need a big wardrobe. I guide you through outfit choices, and you’re welcome to bring a small selection from your closet. Together, we create looks that photograph well and reflect your personality.
I am not photogenic.
Most of my clients say this before their session, and nearly all of them leave saying they’ve never looked better. My job is to guide you with flattering angles, soft direction, and lighting that works for every woman over 40. I’ve got you!
I don’t know how to pose.
You don’t have to. I guide you through every movement. How to sit, stand, soften your shoulders, position your hands, and where to look. You can relax and follow my direction.
When do I get to view the gallery of images?
Your reveal session takes place about 10-14 days after your portrait session. This is when you see your full gallery (either in person at the studio or via Zoom) and choose the portraits you’d like to purchase.

I’m 70, can I still participate?
Absolutely. The campaign is open to women 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and beyond. Your age is part of your strength and beauty, there’s no upper limit.
I don’t have a story, but I want to be part of the campaign, can I?
Yes. You don’t need a dramatic story to belong here. Your life, your experiences, your growth, and your presence are enough. Every woman contributes something meaningful to this project.
