The faces behind the service matter more than you think

In an industry where most companies hide behind logos, call centres, or generic promises, this team at Amptex chose to do something different! They decided to show up in their photos – because that’s how they work in their business – they show up for you!

This plumbing and electrical company has been around for years – because they genuinely care and it really matters to them how things are done. 

Part of that is ensuring there is a small team of ladies at the office ready to really listen to what you need, to pay attention to the details of the work and to genuinely care – so this team takes responsibility for their work.

And that’s exactly what we wanted to capture in their portraits.

Real people. Real help. Real care. Real support. 

So, this wasn’t our first time working together.

A few years ago, one of the co-owners, Rita, reached out for her first ever professional portrait session, and she was completely terrified. You can read about her portrait session here. 

She didn’t like being in front of the camera. That’s a lie, she told me she absolutely HATED the camera. And she was 100% convinced she wouldn’t like any of the photos we took together.

But after seeing her images, and then seeing the impact they had on her business, Rita’s opinion on photos completely changed.

Since then, she’s come back again and again, bringing multiple businesses in front of my camera.

This team shoot is just the latest chapter.

Most of the people I photograph don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera.

You know all those things – I’m sure even you reading this feel them: “I’m too awkward in front of a camera”, “I’m not photogenic”, “I just can’t get a natural smile when there is a camera”, “I just know the photos are going to be awful”. 

I say this all the time, but it’s worth repeating: These aren’t things you need to fix before you come in for a portrait session! (Do you really think every person who gets photographed professionally feels 100% put togtehr and perfect?). These are all things that I help you will before and during your portrait session so that when you come in for your reveal session, you are absolutely blown away by the portraits. Not just because they are stunning, but because they reflect the real, authentic you back.
