Prishani came to me just wanting one thing; a beautiful glamour portrait that reminded herself of her younger, bolder, braver self. And this portrait she would frame and put up in her office.

Prishani hadn’t really thought about needing personal branding images. She really just knew she wanted her portrait for her office wall.
And photographing for wall art is always such a thrill (in case you haven’t guessed it yet, I LOVE seeing you wonderful people see yourselves in print!)
But anyway, then Prishani and I had our consultation, and suddenly we realised that Prishani actually really needed personal branding portraits – and not just one, but a few.

So we started out the portrait session with personal branding portraits. Creating portraits that reflected who Prishani is, but while also keeping in mind her career goals, where she works, how she works, and how she wants to be perceived. We also want to always make sure that these personal branding portraits for clients who work in corporate look distinctive enough for Prishani to stand out, but not too different that people end up dismissing her.
And of course, most important for all my photos – is that we wanted to create photos that Prishani LOVED! I’m a firm believer that if you don’t love your photos you will never use them, and if you never use them, what’s the point? And I have also learnt that the best way to get someone to love their photos is to get them to relax so completely in front of the camera that they recognise themselves in their photos instantly. And I don’t just mean ‘recognise’ as in their physical features. I mean ‘recognise’ as in, the photos feel 100% like them.

And once we had Prishani’s personal branding portraits, she was relaxed and ready to have a bucket load of fun with her glamour portraits!
So something I have noticed over the years, is a client will have an certain idea of the type of image she wants, and she will already know what she wants to wear etc. But as soon as she goes shopping and sees the different options, that creative switch gets flipped and suddenly the ideas are streaming in and the excitement builds and more outfits get brought or purchased (I love it!), and this is exactly what happened with Prishani!
We had the three most fun outfits to work with! And we got to play with more fun poses and really got the opportunity to show Prishani how incredible and beautiful she is.

Portraits – Johannesburg
Most of the women I photograph don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera. They think they’re not photogenic or they worry they’ll look awkward or not like themselves in their portraits.
But that’s not something you need to solve before booking.
I guide you through the entire process so that you can walk away with professional portraits that feel natural, confident, and true to you.
